Yes - that post was from a time past. A gentler time where anonymous posting was allowed, even encourage. A time of innocence lost.
So yes, you can vote on it because the system can't definitively say it's you.

Have these been removed? I've been away for a few weeks, but even though the option is still checked, I'm not seeing them anymore? I've tried unchecking with a save and then checking with another save, but still no popups. And I'm using IE8, if that helps. Thanks.
