Chris,
Thanks for your prompt reply. The reason I asked this question was I had an article which seems like not an "Article" from CodeProject Standards. It is also a little long for a tip. SO i was thinking that I should post it as a Blog.
The Blog post in my profile page perhaps is not the right place to post a technical blog(my opinion). So right now I posted it as a Tip only. Could you please check it and see if this Tip can be changed to an article or is it OK as a Tip only?

If I udnerstand you correctly, no there is no such option.
In my humble opinion, nor should there be. Is there really some need to have the exact same blog post show up multiple times on the web?

I noticed that the general programming forums (Not Q/A) only have abusive and spam as report items. Maybe, we could add not a question, as well.

The discussion forums are there specifically for discussions and do not require a post to be a question.
Would a "Unclear / Inappropriate" be more, well, appropriate?

gotcha

No. Now that I am clear that it is just a discussion forum, then having anything else would probably serve no real purpose. Thanks for the reply.

I was editing and cleaning up tags, and I notice a large amount of tags that make no sense at all with zero associated questions. I found this to be odd, thus my reason for reporting.
I deleted some but there are too many.

On occassion, I am not logged in to CP/RA (at work) for some reason. When replying to a message, it would be nice if after typing in a message, we can put in the username and password and click on Post Message, and the site automatically checks the U/P boxes and logs you in and posts the message automatically.
Having to do the U/P first and then retype the message is annoying.
Minor Bug (IMO): Since this site is Site Bugs (First) / Suggestions (Second), the default new message icon should be the Bug and not the Suggestion.

If you're not logged in then you aren't given the option of replying. Instead, a "sign in" link is shown in place of the "reply" link.

Most members come here to report bugs, so I default to that message type. Changing the title to "Suggestions and Bugs" would scare and confuse everyone.

Yes, but the message text area is still there and I've been known to start typing before checking the button to see if it's a Post or SignIn. Either removing the message text area or allowing users to type and sign in simultaneously would be a nicer approach.
Chris Maunder wrote: Most members come here to report bugs, so I default to that message type.
But that's what I'm saying. The default I see is Suggestion, not Bug. Making it Bug should be the default.

What I meant was: when you're not logged in you should not be able to get to the "Reply" page with the text area. The link in the forum message should be "sign in" not "reply".

Hmmmm! It must have been a fluke then because I did click Reply and only after I started typing did I see that I wasn't logged in. It's possible that I was logged in and somehow got logged out between clicking on Reply and the Reply page coming up.

Hi CP Team,
In a few recent articles I can see multiple spams posted by members an example.
So I just thought cant we put some heavy restrictions like multiple authentication(if post contains some URLs, a $, shipping, price, paypal etc), account suspension or barring from post for a few days (In case post is "reported[Abusive spam]").

Oh for a minute there I thought you had a solution, not just a random suggestion!
I do believe the hamsters are doing a reasonable job of eliminating the spam, it is not possible to asses the content of the post reliably. At least I can think of many legitimate subjects which that would trigger your onerous authentication. This would only act to irritate the very people who are trying to contribute to the site.
I know I have a standing order for telepathic software but have achieved it yet!

Will surely post a solution soon.
but it will only contribute till it remains private..

An anti-spam system was implemented recently, but it was so aggressive it started to close down accounts of some of the more senior members of the site, which was not popular.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.

There are two tips with same content. Please remove one.

In the Surveys page, the title needs to be changed to "All Available Surveys", both on the page and the site title.
