Thanks to post that message!
I thought "What? 2K points gone!"
Good to know that I'll get all my points back!

When will we get back that points ?

Looks like all activities that resulted in entries in the Rep history facility after Nov. 16, 11:58PM: are gone, with corresponding rep reduction (boo hoo: NOT).
I often go to the rep page first, to refresh my mind with which topics I recently commented on, or what QA answers I responded to, etc., and then work back in time from the last entry, to see if there's any response, or see what else was said on the forum thread or the QA question, so it's a handy record for me.
best, Bill

I get an empty forum when entering the Lounge - always.
Intermittent - this forum first has items and is now empty.
From the front page I can see a list of Lounge entries but navigating through the click I get to see an empty forum. Suffering from withdrawal without my Lounge fix!
Never underestimate the power of human stupidity

I used to have more reputation points but now they are hovering at 21k. I think the outage and upgrade has caused a bug in the calculation. That or they changed the algorithm and didn't say anything.

Is coming 95% of the times I try to access some discussions forums.
QA, My Profile, Settings, Articles and so on is working ok.
I know the error is quite explanatory, but I never had such a high incidence rate.
Happening in IE9 and FF12
Edit: OS is Win7 64bits

Let's hope this problem keeps certain things out of the Lounge. Since ratings are turned off, it seems like it could be vulnerable to precooked canned meat[^] and similar products...

The strange thing for me is...
with IE9 no chance to see the board. Over 30 tries and nothing.
with FF12 if I directly copy paste the URL[^] of the board, I can see it. But the redirection after writing messages, using F5 or clicking in the menu discussions... not working.
EDIT: Clicking on the notifications from the red number or from the notification-list when someone answers me or going to another page (after copy paste the URL) are failing too
EDIT_2: Getting permalink of a message in the first page is returning to the error as well.
Regards.

I am pretty much seeing the same with IE8 failing consistently and Chrome partially working. I did not try copy-paste, but the notification links fail while going straight to a forum works.

Thank you, it seems to be working fine. Today no incidences so far.

Update
Rep points
One of the big changes we've made is to move our Rep system from our site-specific databases to our site-independent, network-wide database. In doing so we've discovered that an issue we thought we'd nailed has popped up again, namely that your displayed Reputation total may be out of sync with the sum of your individual reputation values. In some cases this is a small variance, in some cases (me, for instance, it's much larger). The individual rep values for each rep type (Author, expert etc) are correct, and it's these values that your level (Gold, Platinum etc) are are taken, and it's these levels that define your rights and permissions. So, any adjustment you see will only affect that number at the top right of your screen, and not anything in practical terms.
There were some rep events from midday Nov 16 to midday Nov 22 that were missing. These have been restored and a full sync completed.
Voting in forums
I've turned off voting in some forums to reduce load. It will be back.
We're taking advantage of US Thanksgiving and continuing with some upgrade work on the site. We'll be in read-only mode for a few minutes, then offline while we attack the database with powertools, then back online soon after that.
Hopefully.
Estimate time of completion is 2PM US Eastern Time, give or take a few.

May be related, may not, but something just took about 200-300 rep points away, seemingly all from the last few days, no biggie mind. If I look at posts that were voted on the votes are still recorded there but the total points is ignoring them, no idea if it's also affecting article points etc. Upgrade used a database backup that was a few days old?

For me as well, not a big deal though

Same here, about 1000 rep points gone. For me it seems like partial points went down and total at the up right also went down. The reputation History is gone from November 17th upto today. I had exactly same idea that database backup for upgrade used with few days old.

The who's who pages order is funny... given a sorting layout based on the reputation.
IE9 win7 here.

Loved the amok hamsters picture though!

For me the total is exactly what it should be (the sum of all partials).
But the partials are lower than they were before the update (total difference is between 300 and 500 points or similar for me). It is not a big deal, don't take it as a complain. I just wanted you to know it, just in case any other thing was not working as expected.
EDIT: I just saw the detailed list "Latest reputation events" and some days are missing. In my case it jumps from Nov.16th to Nov.22nd But I have been connecting almost every day. That could explain the missing points

Wait a second. Are you saying you know the exact number of points you had in all the categories before they zapped you? I am trying to decide if I am impressed or amused . Just kidding.
I am also down 6-700 points total, but I have no idea if it is the adjustment Chris mentions or something else.
