It looks like it is possible to report a user for abuse (and presumably spam) again if you refresh the page after reporting.
Naturally, I didn't test this extensively, so I don't know if the multiple reports actually count or if the display just updates.
What is this talk of release? I do not release software. My software escapes leaving a bloody trail of designers and quality assurance people in its wake.

If you click twice on the "Spam" or "Abusive/Troll" link, then your report won't count twice, but you'll be able to see the current count of reports. Sometimes I click twice on the report link to see how many reports the spammer already has, but my report won't count twice.

Oh, good to know. I was getting a bit worried.

Try again. I had no problems with it.

I no longer see how to post an alternative to a tip. (IE 11, Win 7)
You'll never get very far if all you do is follow instructions.

I the left hand menu there is a link "Add your own alternative version"

Excuse me, I'll be smacking my head for a while, carry on.

Actually it was our fault. I had the link hidden in between updates and only added it back yesterday,

Trying to reply to this message: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/4800975/Shouldnt-we-stay-away-from-piracy-Referenced-quest.aspx[^]
Here, though I don't think it'll help: http://www.codeproject.com/script/Forums/Edit.aspx?fid=1652005&select=4800970&floc=/Forums/1652005/Spam-and-Abuse-Watch.aspx&action=r[^]
Whenever I tried to post, I got the message above. Open a new window, press reply, copy and paste the text and it went straight in.
The actual text I was trying to post was:
I'm not sure about that one - the site that the downloads come from is msft at digitalrivercontent, which is where the Microsoft legitimate downloads come from - so there is very, very little chance that the download is of illegal material: <a href="http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/is-digitalrivercontentnet-windows-iso-legit-to/585dcf4b-b932-41be-bd4e-5f3184652ff5">answers.microsoft.com</a>[<a href="http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/is-digitalrivercontentnet-windows-iso-legit-to/585dcf4b-b932-41be-bd4e-5f3184652ff5" target="_blank" title="New Window">^</a>]
If the download is legit, then it would need an activation code which won't come with it.
I don't see a reason for abuse votes here.

That happens when the message is deleted while you're posting. No one has permission to reply to something deleted.
(Yes, the error message is accurate and completely useless)

No, the message wasn't deleted: when I opened a new tab from the QA list without refreshing the list, pasted the text of my reply into that, and submitted it there, it went straight in.

So we have notification area up here but once we open it its marked as seen and no longer show.
Can we have Notification History? So we can track our notifications?
|
|
|
|
|
All notifications are also sent through emails, so if you want to view an old notification, you can go to your mail inbox.
|
|
|
|
|
This is not a solution, we need a notification history page in CP.
|
|
|
|
|
I never said that we don't need it, but it is an alternative solution if the admins don't implement the history page.

Yes, I second this. I have seen this today too.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

We are working on a fix for this. It should be deployed soon.

Aaa-h... That's why you post your numerous "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb"…
[EDIT] I can see that you already managed to reproduce the problem. [END EDIT]
Thank you for your information.

Trying to read articles, via link from email, or via link on website.
The individual articles rarely load completely. All I get is a framework without content.
If I load an article index, no problem.
If I follow a link to an article, most load an empty page.
Firefox 28.0, Win 7 Ultimate N
Even the FAQ's display this behavior. The FAQ index loads fine. The individual FAQs don't.

Unfortunately I can't replicate this. Have you tried a different browser? Do you have any add-ins such as ad blockers installed?
