Hi, I want to develop an android app in Dot Net.As far the resources I found on internet XAMARIN is the best option. I have Visual Studio 2013 installed in my system. I just wanted to know, whether I can install XAMARIN for Visual Studio 2013 or I have to upgrade to Visual Studio 2015/17. Kindly help me.

VS 2017 Community is free, just upgrade.

Hi, thank you for the reply. Upgrading to VS 2017 will have any effect on SQL Server?? Because right now I am using SQL Server-14. For my office work, i have to use SQL-server 14 only. Can you please clear my doubt?

Not really...
The installer currently available will look back to 2015 only...
However Visual Studio Community Edition 2017 is free and supporting Xamarin fully... It also works side-by-side with older versions (I have 2008, 2010, 2015 and 2017 installed on the same machine)...
