Please help on following error

The type 'System.ComponentModel.DesignerSerializationVisibility' exists in both c:\Program Files\
Reference Assemblies\Microsoft\Framework\.NETFramework\v4.0\System.dll'
and
'c:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Connector Net 6.8.3\Assemblies\v2.0\MySql.Data.CF.dll'

I am not sure if it will work but a possible solution may be to make sure that in web.config, you have not placed more than one reference for System.ComponentModel.DesignerSerializationVisibility.

Also try cleaning the solution and try rebuilding once again.

Solution 1

hi..solved the problem, i was mixing a two assemblies references. v2.0 and v4.0.
I changed the version to v4.0 and problem is solved. thanks.
