Google giving SSL error

When I try to use google from Google Chrome or Opera I get a SSL connection error.

This just started happening yesterday. Does anyone else have the same problem and/or know how to fix it?

Happened with me too.. few days back.. Did you installed any third party software ? Check and uninstall, also remove all malware from registry keys.. Use a malware removal tool to burst them.

No I haven't installed any new software. I have been reading about a Google Chrome update that has caused this type of error but that doesn't explain why it happens with Opera also.

I'll have to clean the registry to see if that clears things up. Thanks for the reply.
