How to send mail one week before date of visa expiry in asp.net

I am developing a HRMS application where i need to send alert mail to employees one week before of their visa expiry. Please help how i will able to do that.

Check the expiry date on their card, and if it is within a week send the email. Exactly what part of this do you not understand?

How there will automated expiry date check and after that mail will send. Please share any article regarding this concept

Are you saying that you do not know how to get the difference between two dates and compare against some other value?
