Progress Bar for %Copied to Sql Server

I would like to use a progress bar with SqlBulkCopy, but am unable to find any examples. Can the ajax progress bar be used in conjunction with SqlBulkCopy?

Solution 1

While the answer is yes - a reasonable reply to a *very* similar question can be found here:

Design some kind of Thread/SqlConnection/SqlBulkCopy management object and assign it to a Session["OperationIdentifier"] - poll peridically for progress.

You may even be tempted to use comet[^], at least it's an option :)
