reading book online resulting downloading of book multiple times whenever clicked on chapter name

I have web page.It consist of readonline button . when it is clicked. a new tab gets open with a screen divided into two parts. left part has chapter names of the book where as right part has the book. when we click any chapter name in left part , the book is again getting download. Actually , the left part and right part are aspx page placed inside frames tag of parent page. The left form has the chapter name as link as chapter name. when the link is clicked , it is getting to url and complete book is getting downloaded. Can u help me. Thanks in advance.

are you reading html book or pdf book? can you update the question with the code how you navigate to a chapter when user click on chapter link

On the links click from the left frame what we can do is to
reload the particular page in the right frame rather than calling the URL directly.
