What is App_Data folder in MVC 4 internet Project file..

Hello Professionals,
I am not getting the proper answer of a question.
Please help.

Q:- What App_Data folder in MVC 4 Internet project. When we crate a MVC4 internet Project there is one default folder i.e App_Data folder. I want to know which type of code can we keep there in App_Data folder.

Hi Damith,
Yes, Actually my question for App_Data folder. Only .mdf file can we keep there or any type of data file like .dbml file too can we place in App_Data older.

App_Data

Contains application data files including .mdf database files, XML files, and other data store files. The App_Data folder is used by ASP.NET to store an application's local database, such as the database for maintaining membership and role information.

The App_Code folder is generally meant for class files in your project.
