How to create a Sign in tab to all my webpages as like codeproject with code

while clicking on the sign in button , wants to pop up or show like menu to enter the log in information & how / where to code for log in . Is it necessary to create a login.aspx page to check the login

you need to create a master page and write the login logic in master page itself.
