How to see reports from other site when both site in different platform

We need requirement that one site is in java and our site is in C#
Now we want to get reports from that site when user login from our site
Also when report closed we should return to back What is proper way?
Shall we use webservice for this ? Also tell me proper steps to achieve this
thanks in advance....
Database is different we want to just to show reports from that side after login through our side...

does both site using common database ? reports means what kind of reports you want to show ? please share some more details.

i dont know but as front end is java it may be jasperreport or something else .We just want to show user reports from that site bec'se site is in diff platform

This is not clear. If you want to show reports, why can't you do it?

I already told you that reports and software are both different .Client has already developed with another platform.Also reports are based on different data so thats why different database .I just want that which is proper way to communicate for reports only?I just want steps not code.
