problem in object tracking

i am a green hand in opencv
what i want to do is finding a target and the camera will tracking on it

so i use opencv
first i use the face detect get a area as the target to track
the i used the camshift to track
the problem is camshift is too easy to lost target
is anyone who can give me some advice ?
