I have installed SQL Server 2008.. but i got this error.The database 'Databasename' cannot be opened because it is version 655. This server supports version 611 and earlier. A downgrade path is not supported. Could not open new database 'Databasename'. CREATE DATABASE is aborted.

pls help me. how i solve this

If your Microsoft SQL Server supports version 611 and earlier, then it is SQL Server 2005. Version 655 is Microsoft SQL Server 2008. My guess is that your install or upgrade did not go well. You may want to try totally uninstalling SQL Server and re-installing. Perhaps if you explained in more detail exactly what you are doing and show source code or SQL Server Management Studio commands, you may get a better answer.
