Gmail view image link is asking credentials to see the image.

Hi all,

I want to implement image url should ask login credentials while browsing in url bar.
For ex Gmail View image url will ask us credentials if gmail account logged off.

One more ex we will see it in Facebook image urls.

will provide some steps for your understanding.
1.Please open your gmail account.
2.If possible open any image of View option then one url will generate in URL.
3.Copy the above url.
4. Log off your gmail.
5.paste copied url in the window then we will see authentication required option in browser.

Hi Ram,

Thank you for clarifying your issue. One question remains. Do you , or don't you want the image url to ask for credentials. The gmail example is behaviour by design. If you want to access an image that belongs to a domain and the session is no longer established, you have to setup a new secure session in order to access the image, thus its asking you for credentioals again.

Do you already have an login mechanism in place. You need this. Without it, it won't be able to authenticate anything.
