Query Optimisation For Particular Column

Dear Sir/Madam,

iam having one column named as TrnVarOrdDtlStatus. when i fetch record from this column it's logical read is higher
logical reads 19262

without adding this TrnVarOrdDtlStatus column

logical reads 7246

how can i optimise and reduce my logical read
