How to declare and store elements in three-dimensional array

Hello,

I need help, how to store elements in 3-dimensional array and access the elements from the 3-dimensional array in vb.net.

Can anybody help me in this regard???

Hello Menon, The link you have given, only gives information about two-dimensional array. About, three dimensional array, only "how to declare 3D array" information is given, nothing more, this link does not give information about "How elements are stored in 3D array" and "how elements are accessed".. This link gives code of "how to store elements in 2D array and how to access those elements", but does not give code for 3D array..

Look, if you want 4D array, will you need to answer a separate question? And a separate for 5D, right? Asking such questions makes no sense at all. If you can work with 1D and 2D, you should be able to work with any rank.

Sergery, What can do, wharever i asked, I dont get any solution, So, it will take 2-3-4-5 days for me to do my problem myself.. Some guys also downvoted my questions, why?? If anybody dont understand my question, then why downvote the question. I know my question is very important for me for my project, then how anybody else can understand importance of my question.. Only 2-3 times i got good solution from other side.. Rest I didnt get..

Do you want me to look at your questions? OK, I did it. You didn't ask many, and they usually have problems. You need to imagine how the question is perceived by an expert. You should not just post "I need to do this or that; can you help me?" It does not show what problem do you have and what help could be appropriate. You should not just say "I need this algorithm". If this is a well-known algorithm, you can find information about it, then the problem could be misuse of it or some bugs, etc, so you would need to explain it. If the algorithm is not known, you would need to formulate it in a comprehensive manner, and again, explain your problems.

You should understand that even with help you are supposed to do most of the job yourself. People are ready to resolve some problem resulted from misunderstanding, lack of knowledge of some "professional secrets" or some well-known solutions, libraries, etc., or just something which needs some key ideas or change of thinking. If this is just a regular work to be done, this is not a good subject for a question. We also usually won't substitute any elementary manuals but will address some tricky points which are understood poorly. That said, the questions should be qualified. The questions are not required to be "advanced" or "elementary", but they should be adequate to the problem, and that requires some qualification.

I don't see what's wrong with 2-5 days of work at some problem. You cannot expect that someone shorted this time by doing some work for your, but someone can give you the idea if you, for example, going in a wrong direction. I personally simply don't remember any of your questions before this one, but I think I have a good rate of accepted answers when I answering others. At the same time, I tried to remove, say, non-questions, because they only distract attention from real questions and just waste time.

I don't think you can complain much for bad answers (well, bad answers also happen, they are not rare :-( ); I would rather advice to pay more attention for your questions...

Sergery, tell me one thing, whether is any difference between posting a question with soltion and posting a article?? If you can post an article, then if I got solution after 4-5 days myself, then what is the problem in posting solution???

Well yes, you can post an Tips & Tricks article, but if you think that it can be of interest to a number of reader. If you want, you can reference your original question. And how anyone can be interested in what you are doing. You say: "I have this problem, how to solve it?" and later on: "Oh, I got the solution". This is a fake thing, one can make unlimited number of such posts. Can you see the point?

The forum is reserved for the cases when people help each other, when one asks a question, another is answering. Everything else belongs somewhere else, if should be posted at all. We are already overwhelmed with non-questions instead of questions and non-answers instead of answers...
