Hello everybody!
Is there any way to check client user files and make a list? I need to know are some applications installed on client PC or not.
Thank you all dear friends.

Its better to secure your website and go for something you can as compared to going for something which you never can.

From the question it seems you are trying to hack the user's system...

Its not possible. It is for security reasons. You just cannot hack into users system and get the details.

so how some web apps detect browser add-ones like Flash player or etc.?

Detecting flash player existence is something different. It is a plugin. You can detect plugins but not the installed applications and read the users file system.

Right.

It has nothing to do with client files. Irrelevant question. What's the security concern in determining if a Flash is supported or not? This is pretty much the same as the browser passes its version and OS information to the server.

Flash Player is just an example but it's not my purpose.
I am not sure, but I used WMI for detecting printers, see if helps you any way.

WMI works with Windows Apps and in local networks... Did you use it in web apps ???? How?? I dont think it is possible....

Actually, in one of the project I have used it, please see this link, but I am sure I have accessed printers via WMI. http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/33167/WMI-Functions-from-ASP-NET
