i want to know an answer of my simplest question

i have connected two computers by using switch

now we both are chatting to each other

mean to say i have ip 127.0.0.1
and other pc have 127.0.0.2

now i send msg from my pc to 127.0.0.2

that is happening good

but my main question is this

when i try to send message to my own Ip mean to say 127.0.0.1

what will the trafic sequance?

my message will travell to the switch in case my own ip is send msg to my own ip????

You should not use 127.0.0.1 as it is a loop back address which will not go on your network.

You should be using something like 192.168.x.x addresses.

yes sorry to say i m using 192.168.1.1 for my own PC
and 192.168.1.2 for other pc

what will happen if i send message to my own self.mean to my own ip 192.168.1.1

Your request will go down to your network card which will check that a connection exists and will go back up to you, same as pinging 127.0.0.1
