Solution 3

You just need to make your datagridView's Read only property to True;

In Windows:

C#

dgvSearchResults.Columns["ColumnName"].ReadOnly = true;

In Web:

C#

((BoundField)dgvSearchResults.Columns[columnIndex]).ReadOnly = true;
