Data Binding Location Source Access C#

Hi. I want to save in varabile location source of data binding, because when i install the application to another pc, the Access Database can't be found. so when i first start the application i wish to can search it in pc to be save location in text file, to can read the text file from app..
Sorry for my bed english!

What seems to be your issue? Are you having trouble with a config file?

When you install on another computer I can put the file access database anywhere to can find from my application wherever are located..
... i want to modify location source string..from line of cod..

Why don't you just put the database in the same location as the executable?

Solution 2

Hi,

If your access database is a user database[which user may know], then show a popup at the first time to select the location of db file and store the location in either a config file [local %ProgramData%, %AppData%] or in registery.

If the database is system database [which user don't want to know], then let it go with the installation.
