I want to display the user's current (nearly) location. how is it possible in asp.net?

Solution 1

Get his IP address, then do a whois query to find out his company/his service provider and the location.
Well, it is the location of the provider, I tested with my IP and detected Berlin - more than 300 km away, but on a world-wide scale not so wrong either.
