I was Trying to ,make this explorer ....
I am using dir command of dos to direct my data towards a data file and then read and display
The problem is it works for only the current working directory as we move back by using "cd .." it start showing the error invalid directory though it makes the data file ....

Here's a hint: Do not urge people by shouting and saying "ASAP". Members here on CP help for free in their sparetime, you don't have to pay them, so don't urge them or you only piss them off annoy them.

Look at the actual data in your dir command to see why it is not working. We cannot guess what your program is doing wrong.

the dir is working properly. i am getting all the data in file the problem is i am not able to read the file via program .

What does this mean? You really need to explain your problem in detail and show the part of your program that is not working. As I said before, we cannot guess what is happening on your system, nor can we see what is on your screen.

DOS? Are you serious? Do you use MS-DOS as your OS? Do you use Windows?
