How to control the selection of a Drop down list web control as dynamically

here i just want to view the drop down list but user can't view the list of items and it can't be choose by clicking on the Arrow key of DDL

you can use attribute disabled="disabled" to prevent user to select/view any item from dropdown

in an web application form
gender
Radiobutton1(Female) Radibutton2(Male)
DDLAgeFemale DDLAgeMale

if female Radiobutton checked then DDlAgeFemale control should only in selectable state
if male radiobuttton is checked then DDLAgeMale control should only in selectable state other DDls which are depending on the other radiobutton will be viewed but can't select an item
