hi,
In Dell Inspiron Laptop i have installed DotNet 3.5 but all shortcut(Function) keys are not working(in VS environment).
eg.F1 for msdn help,F5 for running application etc. Rather all applications i hv created runs smoothly.
Pls.,anybody suggest the solution to enable shortcut keys.

Have you checked Tools -> Options -> Keyboard to varify the settings?

ya, i hv checked,there additional keyboard maping scheme is default one.

I assume the shortcut keys work in other applications. For example, F5 pressed in a browser reloads the page, right?

Basically Dell has given F5 for brightness so in all applications if i press it then it shows brightness adjustment.

It has nothing to do with Visual Studio: the problem is that your Your Fn-key[^] is "locked"[^]. The combination to unlock Fn depends on the model of your DELL. Here is one set of instructions that worked on older models[^]; it may or may not work for you. If it does not work, check the manual of your DELL keyboard.
