I developed a Windows Forms application in VS 2008 (.NET Framework 2.0 and 3.5)). It is (EXE) working fine in Vista, but when it is in XP, the application is not opening and not showing any error.I developed this on Windows vista PC with dotnetframework 3.5 &VS 2008installed.The target machine is istalled with dot net framework 2.0 & 3.5.and both xp and vista are 32bit . Can anyone help me in this

So it's just not starting at all? Open task manager, switch to processes tab. Start your app, does the process appear? Framework all installed correctly on the XP machine? Anything in the event log?

Other useful informations are:
is Vista 32 or 64 bit?
is Xp 32 or 64 bit?
do you compile for 32 or 64 bit target?

Does your application have any other special requirements...is it using crystal reports or a database or some other component? My other thought was that perhaps it's being blocked by some kind of anti-virus.

You need to confirm Is the dot net framework 2.0 / 3.0 already installed or not. If not then you need to install dot net framework 2.0/ 3.0 first to your target machine.
