You could just order 'ascending by name, descending by number' et voilà the result would be in the first row.

There isn't a simple single cell formula to use here. Rather it will take a few nested formulas.

Here is a site with a spreadsheet you can download that describes a number of formulas to return data from tables and formulas to look up data in tables

Two words? BM... that's what you wish would happen when you are constipated, ABM is what happens after the first BM. Nope, can't do it in two words. Sorry :(
