visual c++ 6.0 problem

hi,
i have encounter a problem which when i try to add files into my project,
an error will come up..it said that "Microsoft (R) Developer Studio has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."..and then the visual c++ will automatically closed..
is there someone had faced the same problem with me?what can i do?

That sounds as if something is screwed with your installation. Did you try to repair your installation from the install disk?

i already reintstall few times but still the same..this problem also appeared in various pc..the problem appeared in sudden..one of my officer said it because of virus but can't trace the virus..

There are different ways of adding files. Have you tried context menu / Drag&Drop from explorer / ... (was a long time since I used VS6)

See if any other method works. That could keep you going until you find the actual cause of the problem.

Also check project file access and permissions.

...and you can also edit the project files in Notepad if you're desperate.
