Hi,
I have a live route being drawn on a map and being updated but data received from a moving vehicle. Sometimes the data link is lost and there is a time gap between receiving route points so the trip shows a line between the points which is not actually the trip.
Is there a way to make the Stroke so its not visible i.e too small or clear color between two points on the route so the route is not drawn if the is a break in the points data?
Thank You

What I have tried:

Tried changing color and size but seems to affect the whole route
Have looked at creating an overlay for each segment of the trip but that generates a large number of overlays

Create "waypoints" / intermediate points between the route points; then draw between them.

Gerry's suggestion is a good one. An alternative would be to draw a dashed line between the points where the signal was lost.
