Css 'funky' background

hi guys,

how do i create a background like this in css?
here is a zoomed-in version.

it's a mix of rgb(28,28,28), rgb(30,30,30), rgb(27,27,27) and maybe a few more.

if this style has a name, i don't even know what it's called. i therefore couldn't even search for it online. maybe someone here can point me in the right direction..

You're trying to add noise. That solution does it with a dataURL (for an image) in the css file.
