I recently used EPPLUS and it works much faster than stringwriter and htmlwriter. Moreover to that You can customized your data as well. like in dateformat,decimal,percentage and so on.Go to this link and it might be helpful. epplus.codeplex.com

Yes the large datatable is from database tables and excel is throwing out of memory exception. Also I have them all created dynamically so I cant manually set header and row style in excel.

instead of passing only one value...pass multiple values in function and loop through each in your class file. Hope you get my point.

DataTable DTResult = new DataTable();
DTResult.Merge(dt);

DTResult.Merge(dt2);
DTResult.Merge(dt4);
DTResult.Merge(dt4);
DTResult.Merge(dt5);
DTResult.Merge(dt6);

Try above code and see if you are getting desired output or not.
You cant call two functions on one datatable because it will overwrite your data in datatable.

If you have 6 different table and want to get the result set based on common column name then instead of having six separate SQL statement you can join them together and hence you dont have to call function 6 times!

Moreover, I think you have SQL statement just for selecting records from table! You dont have WHERE clause in your SQL query and you are passing arguments with some textbox and dropdown values.
If you want to verify the username and password you have to use WHERE clause in SQL Query !

I suggest you to use join for displaying statename and cityname.
here You are binding it with state_id and city_id so of course, it will bind it with that value only.
1) Join 2 tables
2) bind your required field to your webcontrols
3) I suppose your end user is able to edit the records. So for that You have to use edit template where you have boundfields for cityid and stateid.

Another try:
try:
string path = GridView1.DataKeys[gr.RowIndex].Values["path"].ToString();
You have to have Datakeys in your gridview tag and One hidden boundfield with DataField="path"
Hope you understand what i mean.

Response.TransmitFile(Server.MapPath("Files/5.png")); if this is working then something is wrong when you assign value on this line
string path = GridView1.DataKeys[gr.RowIndex].Value.ToString();
Its not getting proper value of datakeys.
Check your gridview data.

alright.
give it try.
Response.TransmitFile(Server.MapPath(path)); //change it to
Response.TransmitFile(Server.MapPath("Files/5.png")); and if it doesnt work then try the below line.
Response.TransmitFile(Server.MapPath("~/Files/5.png"));
give it try and respond.

Do you know how to use debugger??
Use breakpoint and see what is the value of string path. Is it returning some value from database? because error says your file is not found means your path (to find the file) is wrong.

Details provided by you is datatype of path. I asked the value of path on this line
string path = GridView1.DataKeys[gr.RowIndex].Value.ToString();
put breakpoint and see the value.

Instead of IP address, try using website name. I would suggest you to use break point and use alert after each line and see where the error comes.
If it shows you empty alert box then its not getting proper data.

do you have your Identity column's Identity Increment? If you want to insert data without specifying your columnNames use:
insert into tablename(value1,value2,...., so on)
but data types must match.

If you want to run your application on diff machine. you will need IIS, that will convert your comp to work as server. From another machine you can access your application using ip address.
Google it and you will find multiple solutions.

Your stored procedure is deleting record when you pass @DESIGN_ID.
if you want to display data then you should use select query to return the result after deleting particular row from the table.

Create one hidden field. Write this following in its expression
=Iif(Fields!startDate.value =Field!EndDate.value, true, False)
In emp Cell
=IIF(Fields!HdnField.value = true,"red","No Color")
Try this first. If it does not work then I will surely help for writing function.
The above solution is the shortest and easiest way.

I think for that You have to write custom code(function) to check the conditions for equality of dates and then assign color code for empName cell.
Or else You can have one hidden field and assign true or false based on startdate== enddate. then use the hidden field value to change color of empname cell
