when I logged in with user2 and tried this query: "GRANT select ON myTB TO user2",
I get this error instead:
Cannot find the object 'myTB', because it does not exist or you do not have permission.

thanks for checking my problem.

1. I've logged in with user1, then create db and table (now user1 is the owner I think !)
2. I've created another user named user2.
3. my problem is user2 can't execute any query on the db and table that created by user1 ( user2 CAN connect to my database )
4. so, to solve the problem, I've logged in by user1 and tried this query:"GRANT select ON myTB TO user2" to grant the select permission to user2.

what was wrong with 4th step ? should I change any user ?

I have create a new Website in visual studio,
then I go to website -> add reference... and add the MySql.Data.dll from installation folder.
now i have this ERROR message after uploading files to my server and then browse it:

Parser Error Message: Could not load file or assembly 'MySql.Data, Version=6.4.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

so what should i do now?

i don't know :( , i'll try my best in the application to detect invalid keys, but i should accept that there will be some invalid keys and invalid users !
waiting for user to connect to internet is the only chance for me !

but i think if i use the unique hardware id ( e.g. Processor ID ) as the username, in this way each license can just be valid on a specific computer !!
i mean in this way every computer has it's own specific username ( e.g. Processor ID ) !
am i wrong?
so i hash the unique username, and give the KEY to the customer.
32-char KEY annoying customers i think !
isn't there any hash algorithm, or any other way to create 12-char KEY from the unique username !?

it's almost ok, but i think using 16-char hex string could calculate repetitive KEYs.
for example H(x) = [A][B] (A: 16-char, B: 16-char)
and H(y) = [A][C]
although the result of H(x) and H(y) is different, the first 16-char is the same ! and it will hackers to crack the KEY !
am i wrong !!?

I want to publish an application for windows,
the user should buy the license to use my application,
so my application request two fields: USERNAME: ... , and KEY: ....
I want to hash the USERNAME and create the KEY, then the user should enter the specific USERNAME and KEY.
my problem here is that the KEY should be 12-characters,
(But in MD5 hash, I get the 32-char KEY).
you mean that i should change the 32-char KEY to 12-char KEY manually !?
please help me, i really need it.

i don't have any idea about this, for instance two 12 character codes, result one 12 character code as code3.
the user shouldn't identify how it happens, and he shouldn't be able to guess how the third code created !

my code use these lines to save decrypted file to hard disk, then i should use the file, BUT in this way the user can see and access the decrypted file and copy it !
my question is that i want to use the decrypted file without saving it to hard disk !
if Memorystream is the answer, then how should i use it !?
