Looks like @Count is not greater than 0, hence the insert statement is not getting executed. Also you are not passing any dates to @LeaveFrom and @LeaveTo. If you use them in your query without passing any value it will be null and your query may not return any rows.

That should be easy. Just find out if the user has already registered before doing an insert. If the record is already inserted don't do anything in database and show a message to user saying s/he has already registered, else insert the record. Let me know if you have any questions. As I mentioned in my answer, the default value will be added to the record if no other value is specified.
INSERT INTO Address ([Name], FaxNo) VALUES ('Bob', NULL)
In the above insert statement we are passing NULL to FaxNo, hence the default value is not added into the record.

Your query looks ok. Try to get the query in debug mode and execute it in sql server query window and see if you can find out the error.
Also do not concatenate strings to build a SQL command. It leaves you wide open to accidental or deliberate SQL Injection attack which can destroy your entire database. Use Parametrized queries instead.

As Amir said it is just an option. By using CTE you can avoid creating a temp table and if you delete a row in CTE the row gets deleted from table BOMDetails_Stg as well. You can also do it using temp tables but you will need to declare the table first, insert data into it and then delete the rows from BOMDetails_Stg using data in temp table.

One approach would be to insert data from gridview to a staging table. Once all the records are inserted into the staging table, insert the data from staging table to your final table. So if there is any error while inserting data into staging table no data gets inserted into the final table and if any error occurs while inserting data from staging to final table, it can be rolled back.

It looks like there is a one to many relation between Orders and OrderDetails table.
