yes i have.. but i am not getting the required result.

Basically selectedIndex is also bydefauly showing me -1 if we dont select in the checkedlistbox. however in vb6 the listindex value is returning 0 when nothing is selected in listbox. i have to use the same functionality in c# also

In VB6 i am using List box
and in C# i am using CheckedListBox

ListBoxHelper is just a class i wrote to support the fnctionality of listbox.

when i am trying the above mentioned vb6 code to c#.net i am getting the below error. How should i re-write the vb6 code in c# so it should reflect same functionality.

When i convert in the above website it is giving me a syntax error

i am passing parameter as set parameter=%directory% which is \\na1234567 from the command file. If i put parameter=@"%directory%" then it is not recognising the path.It says path not found

Thank you very much.The above solution gave me the idea. The parameter it is trying to access was not present hence it is failing

do u mean the parameter i am passing to GetPlaceofService (bat.Claims.ElementAt(0).Value.ServiceLineRoot[1].PlaceOfServices.Trim().ToString()) is null or empty

i have textboxes which consists of id and name where, in id i need to display the auto generated code which is user defind(Ex01) and next to the last value in the database automatically and enter the name. then i have to save both in database.
example if i have ED05 record as last record in database then in the id textbox it should show ED06 & this field is not writable. then name is entered and both are stored in database so whenever when the next user sees the text box it should check database and then display ED07

i am a starter to be specific for sql server can u give me a more details about the answer you have give. thanks in advance
