Hi OriginalGriff , thanks for your reply .
I have tried this and cannot use it as the formatting of the mail body goes off.
I had to change it to "msgObj.BodyParts.Add(strResult, BodyPartFormat.Plain);" for the same reason and another service can only consume this mail when it is in plain text.

Is there any other way to change the format colour ?

hi , i have sorted out the issue i was facing. but i have somehow stumbled upon another issue. i im getting the value of text that is populated in the textbox but i do not know how to read it from the radiobutton control. Sorry for the late reply.

ok. the 2 textboxes are getting populated. in textbox "1" there is text, also in textbox "2". Based on textbox "1" , i need the value of the text (value = ID) and also the value of textbox "2". In the database , textbox "2" is dependant on textbox "1" value. sorry for any confusion caused

hi OriginalGriff ...thanks for the solution. i have tried the Panel.Paint event and it has given me more grief than anything. Will try to sort out the problem with PictureBox , is there no other way to select image within the panel ie. mouse events or can.select ?
