it really depends on what kind of apps the two are, if they could use the additional time for something else (maybe if they've go a UI which provides stuff which works independently of the communication) or have to (sync) wait anyway and of course if there's a chance for parallelisation.

hii admit that i don't understand your question. So far, i think i understood that you've got something like this:
class X
{
public int Depth { get; private set; }
public List<x> Children { get; private set; }
public X(X parent) { Depth = (parent != null ? parent.Depth + 1 : 0); }
}
can you please elaborate on "is there a relation between the class and its property"?

Merans, you wont Need the address of the Constantin ARRAYSIZE. Lea returns the effective address as a "Pointer" which doesn't make much Sense for a c Constant in this Example. When I tested it yesterday, the solution worked. Have to go now, but will post the full src maybe later.

the following fragments may give you a hint:
int16_t iBrightness[NOF_LED] = {0, PWM_DURATION/10, PWM_DURATION/4};
int main(void) {
// init variables if any
init_IOs(); // by referring to the PIC docs
for (;;) {
modifyBrightnesses(); // calculate new values and set PWM
waitSomeTime();
}
as richard said, the tricky part is to figure out how you can configure the hardware to do the needed initializations and change the PWM(s)

although it isn't really what you're probably looking for, this article may serve as a starting point:

adding another level of indirection to one of the provided solutions may be close to what you want
