I think you are on to the answer. That would be a perfect explanation as to being able to write a file, but not open an existing one for write/append operations.That is beyond my current skill, so I'll have to head out in search of some tutorials.

Thank you all for your help, but we still haven't gotten to the problem. It still does the same thing. I can write however many times right there, but if I call this page and the file exists somehow it thinks someone else is using it. This by the way is my first web project, but not my first C# project.
