Reason for my vote of 1 \n You could set explorer to show hidden and system files and never have this problem.

1.Opening a windows explorer window.
2.selecting View from the menu bar/ribbon
3.clicking on options.
4. Selecting the "View" Tab
5. Select "Show hidden files and folders" under "hidden files and folders"
6.Unselect "Hide protected Operating system files(Recommended)"

This has the advantage of preventing the "virus" hiding files from you without modifying existing files which can effect the behavior of other software.
