Nice. I lost all my regex bookmarks a while back and haven't gotten around to re-bookmarking those tools. Thanks!

Not sure what you mean by "just send one cert". I put it into a "collection" because that's what form it needs to be when connecting it to the request object. But it's still the same certificate values as when I pull from one pfx file instead.

Why isn't your code working? Are you getting an error? Or what is happening?
You should add something to the Catch, just in case you are getting errors. And where does the variable range come from?

If you just want to make the column larger, you can go into design mode and move the columns and fields until they are the way you want. Maybe google for a tutorial to get some background info. You're question is kind of too vague for us to really help you.

Why didn't labels work? If you have a list of questions, set the label's text property to the first question. When they click the next button, set the label's text property to the next question in the list.

I have no idea what you are trying to do and therefore can't (and don't want) to do your work for you. I'm just trying to point you to a resource that you can use to figure it out yourself. If you need more help, you need to supply more information. Step by step tell us what you have already done and what you are having trouble with. You haven't given us any code to try to help you debug. Have you started coding at all? If you don't even know where to start then you need to do more research on the general concepts and come back here with more detailed questions later.

I agree with the others who are pointing out security issues. If you explain more about what you are trying to do, perhaps we can give a different suggestion. The only thing I can think of that can kinda of connect a web site and a PC program is to create a PC program and publish using ClickOnce. There is a way to pass URL parms that way. See info here:

Could you try asking a different way. Your question is a bit jumbled and confusing. How is your DataGridView loaded initially? Or doesn't it have data right away? Are you saving the data to a database? If so, why not pull from there and use for the crystal report? What code do you have so far?

If you're getting duplicate data than check if your JOINs are correct. Perhaps you are missing a connection? You have a lot of case statements and are grouping by a whole lot of fields. Maybe it would be easier to pass in multiple tables to your crystal report and have the report handle how they connect?

Looks like it's expecting a date-time object but is getting something else instead. Perhaps break up the If Statement. And what is DefaultAttribute? Are they compatible data types?

First of all...What's with your else if?...you are doing the same check in the IF as you are in the ELSE IF? Basically you need to call the window.open for both of them, but you probably just need to give them different window names. Otherwise it's probably opening the first report in a window, then opening the second report over it. And I don't think you need that IF statement at all. It might not be running the second code. I've never tried something like that.

I think the OP is asking how to make a report that is two pages of details. The first page would have the data for columns 1-100, the second page would have data for columns 101-200. So if only one record was printing, it would still print two pages. I think it's a legit question. And even if it's messy, coders rarely have a say in what the users ask for. If there is no alternative, it has to be done this way.

If all instances use the same program you'll have to do some research and think about how you want to handle database conflicts. For example, if one user opens a screen and load some data the same time as someone else. Then user 1 updates the data. Then user 2 tries to update the data. Good luck with your project.

How are you deploying your project? ClickOnce? A Setup Project? Or just copying the exe? Setting up the db as a datasource in the project is nice for some people, but I prefer to manually do that stuff in code rather than in a wizard. It's easier to keep track of how it's being setup and where exactly the database is located. Your request seems very odd. Why 102? Are you ALWAYS going to get 407 images? What happens if you get more than can fit in the 4 strings? Perhaps if you explained further we could point you to an easier way to do it. Otherwise, just think how you would accomplish this if you were doing it by hand. You'd setup a counter and when you got to 103 you'd start using the other string variable. Or you could use the Mod or Math.IEEERemainder to find if the counter is divisible by 102 as your indicator. There are lots of ways to do it, it's just hard to make suggestions when we don't have more information.

If your app requires those components....then they have to be installed. You can use the Crystal Reports redistributable so it's not a full version of Crystal Reports but if your user needs the .Net framework....then they need the .Net framework. They can either install it via Windows Updates or you can include the Prerequisites so that it will prompt to install before your app does as described above.

You cannot install the .Net framework by just including some DLLs in your app. And I'm not sure if you CAN for Crystal Reports, but if you can it's not recommended. They have redistributable packages for just this purpose.

Why the many to many relationship? That means you MUST have a student in order to have a Subject exist in your system. I think you should have 3 tables. Student, Subject, and StudentSubject. The Student file would just have Student ID. The Subject file would just have Subject ID. The StudentSubject file would have Student ID and Subject ID. This allows lists of Students and lists of Subjects to be edited independently.

It's possible to do this with some DBs...just not good practice. If you separate the file names with a comma in the FROM I believe it assumes an inner join. You'll need to put the conditions that would have gone in the "ON" in the WHERE clause instead. It's a much better practice to specifically state the JOIN. The code will be much easier to understand and easier to maintain and/or change or later.

If you are not getting any data from the access database then it's your SQL statement that needs fixing, not the Crystal report. You likely do not have the date formatted in a way that access recognizes. You can google to find out the syntax that is needed, or if you look at the link in the solution thatraja posted, there is a sample that uses parms instead. Parms are nice because it knows when things are strings/numeric/dates, etc. And they help avoid sql injection attacks.

With problems like this I think the best way to tackle it is to think about how you would accomplish this if you were doing it manually with paper and pencil. We don't know exactly what kind of rules you want to put into place, for example, if two students both pick each other does that take precedence over one student picking a student who didn't pick them back? In general, I would recommend that you setup the groups in an in-memory DataTable and only when you are done organizing the groups would you write stuff back to the database. If your groups can have 5 to 8 students in them, then how can you be sure how many groups you will actually end up with?

A primary key is a unique identifier for each row in a table. For example, if your data table had a list of people in it, you could possibly have a social security number as your unique identifier. This is how the data base knows which lines to update with which information. Otherwise it doesn't know which record(s) to update. Typically it will want to update JUST the records that changed, not the entire database. That wouldn't be effiecient. Sorry but I'm not sure how you specify it in this particular scenario. I have never used excel as a datasource. But you could try googling for some examples to learn from. I found this article there: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316934

I think your problem is that you're trying to think of everything at once. Don't do that. Break the problem up into smaller bites or you will choke. First design your database in the way that makes the most sense. If I were you, I'd combine two of the tables. Instead of an IN and an OUT (which have virtually the same columns) I would have one table and just have a column in it that contains the value IN or OUT. Once you've got your database set, then work on each query that you need to do in your vb.net program one at a time. When you're stuck on how to get the query to work, post a question here on CodeProject with the query that you are using and details about what you want it to pull and why it's not working.

Your question is a bit confusing. I think some of the problem is just the wording you are using. There are objects called Tab Controls and they each contain a Tab Page. Are you really trying to add multiple tab controls? Or multiple tab pages? I'm also wondering if when you are using the word "form" if you are really referring to a tab page as well? Perhaps you should first start by researching the Tab Control class. Check out the MSDN link here (There are code examples if you scroll way down): http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.tabcontrol.aspx
Also, regarding the code above...I see that you have a method called MyTabs() which seems to be doing some stuff with tab controls, but I don't see anywhere that you are calling that method except in the method tab() which is not called anywhere else. The code won't run unless you call it from somewhere...or did you just not include that code?

I've never really used the parms that you are using with your .Fill statement. I'm wondering if the second parm, the string which you have as "gm862", could be the problem. That table doesn't exist in your DataSet until AFTER the fill is completed. Try removing that parm and see what happens. So you'd just have: dataadapt.Fill(datset)
