yes I really do not understand why the people who wrote this kinds of program do this because when I work even with basic MS Office then even if I produced a file with version from 10 years ago still transition is smooth . and my file does not render useless .all graphic design software are same as well. it does not make sense to redesign everything from scratch .it makes people crazy and it is too much time consuming .

Graeme_Grant, so i had to sleep it was extremely late and really thanks for response.it would be too frustrating to design entire website . My another question is if i have a website that holds kinds of Archives of content from previous years and I want user to navigate to those previous years of content that is date and time sensitive (meaning if content expired user must know it is old story ,let's say year stories of 2023,2022,2021 and so on and so force.)then what should I do to design it with CSS and html ? because my menu on pages that are for older stories belonging to previous years ARE inside entirely new page .I mean even navigation menu on top belongs to year 2022 or previous years .I only have 2 years basically 2022 and previous years in this example and I did not break it to all older years. can all pages from previous years point at main page for 2023 content? how should I really do this without need to re-design each page for each year separately?thanks alot
