There is no error on debugging ..Even I am not able to find the reason..why same code placed in external JS file is not working.

I am using above javascript code for input text validation in ASP .net. I am using Custom Validator for client side validation......The javascript code is working fine if wriitten in same page under script tag...But if same JavaScript code I am putting inside a separate js file, Its unable to invoke.
