i have an expander with several tabs amd those tabs have similar items. when u drag and drop these items from the tab to a canvas each creates a guid and these guids gets saved into guid lists. each tab has a list for itself. example i drag n drop and object from tab 1 the guid for the item gets saved into the tab1 list n if its from the second tab guid gets saved into tab 2 list n so on. what i need to do now is when i select an item on the canvas i need a window to show the name of the tab it came from

I know, but what can I say, the boss wants me to do it the lab view way. I have no clue on this, I,m just a beginner. if u could give me your email id i could mail u the code so that u could help me complete the program. Hope u don't mind that. If its too much of a trouble for u i'll try finding alternative ways. I appreciate what u have done for me so far. Thank you!!

i'm actually trying to create something similiar to lab view. so those expanders are devices n the content in them are the commands for the devices. on choosing the device name from a combo box belonging to a form n clicking the ok button the expander appears. What i have to do now is when i choose the device name again n click the ok button i want the same exapnder to appear with a change in name(micro position control 2)
