oh, but it doesnt allow the string which has last character is space. For example: "abc "

thank for you reply. But I'm also using a RequiredFieldValidator for a Textbox control in the same aspx page. If I remove validation summary, Error Message of RequiredFieldValidator doesnt show.
I wonder how can I still use validator summary to summarize the error list and the Error Message of RegularExpressionValidator just only show in Error list.

yes, because New Folder still has a subfolder inside. So that I cannot rename folder which has subfolder inside?????
