Can you get the barcode result? Is your question about how to correctly read multiple barcodes or how to display text? Which line of your code has problem?

I have no idea why your reader couldn't decode the QR image. You can try the sample - Read Barcode in ASP.NET Web App: http://www.dynamsoft.com/Downloads/Dynamic-Barcode-Reader-Sample-Download.aspx?SampleID=79

Why not JTable? I think it's fine. If you don't want to use the component, you can use a canvas to draw what you want.

Which database are you using? You don't need to create a jar file yourself. You can download the specific jdbc from corresponding db websites. For example, you can download sqlite-jdbc-3.7.2.jar to access SQLite.

Why don't you try all of them, and make a comparison? I suggest you can take a little bit of time to evaluate these products.

You just need to use some barcode SDKs (input images -> output string results), and implement the solution you want.

You'd better choose the language you are familiar with. There's no best language. E.g. Facebook's built in PHP. Microsoft's built in ASP.NET and etc.

Did you notice the sentence "In Java SE 7 and later, you can use a String object in the switch statement's expression", which means it's not compatible with Java SE 6. There are still many people using Java SE6, and thus you'd better care about the compatibility of your code.

JSP is running on server side. When you open the JSP pages in Web browser, they've already been interpreted to pure HTML content. Of course you can download and save the files to any text files, and yet you can't get the logic behind that.

If you want to send text message based on mobile numbers, like iMessage, you have to first figure out how to collect mobile numbers. You can create an application, and ask users to fill their mobile numbers for ID registration. Bind every ID with a phone number, and send information based on that.

How to define the face shape? Elippse? Circle? Rectangle? I don't think there's an algorithm which can tell you what the face shape is, unless you pre-defined the shape. Usually, the face detection algorithm is based on a characteristic library which collects lots of human faces for matching. For better detection ratio, you need to keep training your data. You can learn how OpenCV detects the matched faces.

It's impossible. Although the programming language is same, the underlying framework is totally different. You have to implement it again based on Android framework.

I just made a simple page with only text component. It could work. Probably your problem is not about the page loading, it's about the database access. so you can try to comment out the database access code to verify whether the page loading can work. If it can work, the issue must be caused by database access

If so, I think the best way is to crop the bitmap that you got from FrameLayout.createBitmap(Bitmap source, int x, int y, int width, int height, Matrix m, boolean filter)
Returns an immutable bitmap from subset of the source bitmap, transformed by the optional matrix.

According to your post, you have got what you want. "12-04 06:31:22.368: I/info(1162): text: <!DOCTYPE html>". It is a new issue. Did you set text in the thread? You have to write UI code in main thread. Use runOnUiThread or Handler if you want to refresh your UI in a thread.

Service is like Activity which is the component of Application. You can create a service running in background. When you create a service in you application, you have to declare it in AndroidManifest.xml. Here is the sample code of Service:
public class LocalService extends Service {
private NotificationManager mNM;
// Unique Identification Number for the Notification.
// We use it on Notification start, and to cancel it.
private int NOTIFICATION = R.string.local_service_started;
/**
* Class for clients to access. Because we know this service always
* runs in the same process as its clients, we don't need to deal with
* IPC.
*/
public class LocalBinder extends Binder {
LocalService getService() {
return LocalService.this;
}
}
@Override
public void onCreate() {
mNM = (NotificationManager)getSystemService(NOTIFICATION_SERVICE);
// Display a notification about us starting. We put an icon in the status bar.
showNotification();
}
@Override
public int onStartCommand(Intent intent, int flags, int startId) {
Log.i("LocalService", "Received start id " + startId + ": " + intent);
// We want this service to continue running until it is explicitly
// stopped, so return sticky.
return START_STICKY;
}
@Override
public void onDestroy() {
// Cancel the persistent notification.
mNM.cancel(NOTIFICATION);
// Tell the user we stopped.
Toast.makeText(this, R.string.local_service_stopped, Toast.LENGTH_SHORT).show();
}
@Override
public IBinder onBind(Intent intent) {
return mBinder;
}
// This is the object that receives interactions from clients. See
// RemoteService for a more complete example.
private final IBinder mBinder = new LocalBinder();
/**
* Show a notification while this service is running.
*/
private void showNotification() {
// In this sample, we'll use the same text for the ticker and the expanded notification
CharSequence text = getText(R.string.local_service_started);
// Set the icon, scrolling text and timestamp
Notification notification = new Notification(R.drawable.stat_sample, text,
System.currentTimeMillis());
// The PendingIntent to launch our activity if the user selects this notification
PendingIntent contentIntent = PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0,
new Intent(this, LocalServiceActivities.Controller.class), 0);
// Set the info for the views that show in the notification panel.
notification.setLatestEventInfo(this, getText(R.string.local_service_label),
text, contentIntent);
// Send the notification.
mNM.notify(NOTIFICATION, notification);
}
}
