For my previous work we rewrote vb6 to vb.net over two years. It was the best and most that I've ever learned the .net framework. So I agree by hand is the best.

Rewrite it by hand, java and c# is close enough so that it isn't an unmanageable task. And the best part is you'll learn a lot more about C#, becoming more efficient in it.

I'm not so sure about in wpf, but if you really have to test it, create a new non-ui thread in Application_Startup I'd say. Get your app's process(Process.GetProcesses()) and check if it is responding, if not kill and launch it again. Just do proper testing when doing this.

Currently we are not, that is the problem.
We only need to Sync down to the clients.

That part I have gotten so far.
What my main problem currently is the auto sync to a specific location without the user having to set it.

We have to update crystal reports and some other files on a weekly basis. And this is the path that was chosen for me..
The user shouldn't be able to change the files or upload them again.

Updated question.
aFld.Extract(11).StringValue returns a string value, in this case something like "182.82"

Double.TryParse(aFld.Extract(11).StringValue, iValue)
CDbl(aFld.Extract(11).StringValue)
Decimal.TryParse(aFld.Extract(11).StringValue, iValue)
Convert.ToDouble(aFld.Extract(11).StringValue)
Convert.ToDecimal(aFld.Extract(11).StringValue)
Those are some of the ways I tried, none of them works.

This is the exact code that works on win7 and server2008
If aFld.Extract(11).StringValue < 0 Then
lblAvailCrW.ForeColor = Color.Red
lblAvailCrT.ForeColor = Color.Red
End If

And if I click any one of the images click event it goes to the sub. Even in debug it goes to the right sub and executes all the code except where I need the eventsender details.

The code is fairly basic, from where I call it "frmGenP0053.ShowDialog()"
And the form that is called only got this code on form_load, for now
If Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Printing.Compatibility.VB6.Printers.Count > 0 Then
'Iterate through all the installed printers
For Each prThis As Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Printing.Compatibility.VB6.Printer In Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Printing.Compatibility.VB6.Printers 'PrinterHelper.Printers
lstPrinters.AddItem(prThis.DeviceName)
Next prThis
End If
lstPrinters is a listbox
It's basically stuck on the previous(is this case formA) screen.

Try removing TRIM() as it's not really needed, except if you actually need to trim it.

I have no idea how your code looks cause your hosting that locally..., but just make sure your IF statement is correct, just think by what I reckon is happening is that your calling an object that is null or not created yet

Your going to have to use javascript, get element(imagebutton) id and assign that to a hidden label and then get that labels text from the code behind. All this can be done using javascript.onclick when the button is clicked.

Have you tried giving the time to a string value(e.g sTime) and then, sTime = sTime.addDays(+1) ?
