My dataset contains a combobox but when I import the dataset into my datagrid it becomes a regular cell. I'm hoping to have an enumerated list.

Yes I'm trying to update the datagridview with new data. I checked out the second post, one of them mentioned filling the datagridview. This is what they used "this.rscan_queueTableAdapter.Fill(this.rscanDataSet.rscan_queue);
dgv_queue.refresh();" Is there a way to do something similar with the oledbdataadapter?

I've added your code to my refresh method but I'm getting the following error: "Dynamic SQL generation for the UpdateCommand is not supported against a SelectCommand that does not return any key column information." which is referring to the x.UpdateCommand = oledbCommands.GetUpdateCommand(). Yes I'm trying to update the dataset and refresh however the myDataGridView.Refresh() doesn't work for my program. (Nothing is ever that easy haha)

Should I be trying to refresh the datagrid or the dataset to accomplish this?

I'm calling my retrieve function again after the change is made. My retrieve function is pulling the data from the datasource after saving the changes.

I've added additional code. Now if my user clicks the cancel button a message box appears and the openfiledialog reloads. However if I try and chose a file the program crashes once again with the error message "COMexception has occured"

ok, sorry for the confusion. I'm using an openfiledialog and I'm trying to prevent a user from pressing the cancel button. I've updated my code example

I'm using a datagridview not a dataview. There has to be an alternative of this to work with the datagridview.

Yes this makes the headers visible but I'm looking to make the data in the first column the header. All this does is create another column to the left of my first column.
