When creating an application for a new platform do you

(1) I reuse design for business objects and data, and only rewrite the user interface (using c#, XAML for windows and windows phone, and Xamarin for android, apple, etc.)
(1) If the platform is a newer version (e.g. porting from C# 1 to C# 4) then I choose the second option, porting as much as possible. If the platform is perceived to be very different (e.g. porting from Java to JS/Html 5.0) then I choose the first option and rewrite from scratch.
