CodeProject was formed to give developers with a place to meet and exchange ideas, code snippets and bad, bad jokes. We hope to provide developers with all the resources they need to help them in their day to day programming, as well as helping them keep up to date with the latest technologies.

Authority Types

SubEditor

These are the guys and girls who give up their nights and weekends to review, edit, post and move the articles that are submitted to The Code Project. These volunteers make it possible for the Site Administrators to focus on building and growing the site. Members of this group get a SubEditor icon subeditor next to their name in the message boards and in their profile and biography at the end of your articles.

Professional

This member has a completed Professional profile, giving them access to our Research Library and premium offers.

Mentor

Mentors help new article authors in creating and editing articles

Protector

These dedicated members help ensure that a million members sending hundreds of articles each week do the right thing. They can moderate and remove inappropriate articles, edit eye-straining formatting and move under-performing (or recovering) articles to and from Purgatory. If you see an article that needs attention then let these guys know. Spot them in the forums by their protectors icon protector.

They are approachable, knowledgable and here to help. The position is on an annual basis and is invitation-only. The Site Builders are those who have volunteered their programming, system administration, hardware or design skills to help CodeProject grow. Those who have spent their time writing great articles. MVA status is awarded annually based on ones contributions, and the feedback of the other members. Members of this group get an MVA icon mva next to their names in the forums and in their profile.
