Like when you find out SQL is a standard, but each SQL database is still incompatible with lots of other SQL databases.
Or when you find out HTML, CSS and JavaScript (ECMAScript) are all standards, but each browser implements and supports them differently.
Or when you find out 'standard' doesn't mean what you think it means, it actually means everything *except* 'standard'.
Or when JavaScript.
Or when something you need works great in version x or on platform y, but you're still stuck with old stuff because *insert lame reason here*.
Or when you inherit a project and the code is so badly written it makes you want to poke your eyes out with a fork.
Or when you have finally accepted how badly written it is and try to understand what the software is actually doing and it appears to do very little with very much of (still badly written) code.
Or when JavaScript.
Or when something important comes up that should've been done yesterday, but the specs are unclear and apparently this thing is SO important that no one has time to give them to you.
Or when said important project gets cancelled because no one has time to figure out what should happen exactly.
Or when JavaScript.
Or when something doesn't work for no apparent reason (or you get a very unhelpful exception message).
Or when something doesn't work because a timer triggers two milliseconds before you expect it to trigger (that one cost me a day or three).
Or when some douchebag tells you the software is actually correct because he wrote a unit test and it's not failing Dead | X|
Have I mentioned JavaScript?

Should I continue? Poke tongue | ;-P

[Edit]
Some people who are annoyed by JavaScript mentioned I forgot JavaScript. Since JavaScript is really frustrating I think JavaScript should really be in this list. So JavaScript Big Grin | :-D
